Real portraits and fictional scenes,
kept distinct here.

Portraits appear only as public archive images and do not imply a connection between the moment photographed and the events in the source text. All story backgrounds are AI-generated atmospheric scenes; they do not claim to reconstruct real locations, events, or people present. Character sprites are AI-generated adaptations, not documentary photographs.

Object drawings and sound

Object close-ups are original SVG drawings. Ambience and small sound effects are synthesized locally with Web Audio, without recordings, sampled music or imitated voices. Added recollections are literary adaptation.

AI-generated character artwork

The visual-novel sprites of Justin Sun and Jing Tian were artistically adapted with OpenAI image generation using the licensed archive portraits above. They remain labeled in the story as AI-generated artwork. Justin Sun's derivative images retain CC BY-SA 4.0; Jing Tian's retain attribution to the CC BY 3.0 source. To improve facial consistency in the contemporary design, the official iQIYI actor page was used as an additional likeness reference; its images are neither bundled nor displayed here. The assistants with the tape are original fictional characters. None of these images implies endorsement or participation by the people depicted.

AI-generated scenes

The old dormitory computer, private cinema, taped windows in Tenerife, Hong Kong banana exhibition, invoices and abandoned objects, and the streets of Hong Kong after the fireworks were created with OpenAI image generation on August 28, 2026. Any people visible in them are unidentifiable fictional silhouettes.

Text

The story is adapted from Justin Sun's original post on X and the repository's complete typeset source, available in English and Chinese. A first playthrough reaches only the canonical ending. The three what-if scenes unlocked afterward are explicitly counterfactual and do not add facts absent from the original.
